Naval Science Instructor (SNSI): Commander
Rich Schock Commander Frederick F. (Rick) Schock graduated from the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1978 earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Political Science. He was commissioned as an Ensign through the Aviation
Officer Candidate School in April 1979 and has earned his wings as a Naval
Flight Officer in 1980. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 2000 while stationed
in Denver Colorado. Before accepting the SNSI position at Dunedin High School
Cdr. Schock worked in the health club and airfree industries as a club and
station manager. He also held Human Resources and Budget Analyst positions
with a large non-profit 501(c) industry in Denver. Cdr Schock has been
married to his wife Mary for 30 years and they have two children, a son who
resides in Greenwich Village and a daughter which is a senior at the University
of Florida. Naval
Science Instructor (NSI): Gunnery
Sergeant Ronald M. Wilson, USMC (RET) enlisted in the Marine Corps in
January, 1980. Gunnery Sergeant Wilson served numerous tours overseas and on
Naval ships as an Aviation Ordnance technician, in support of Marine and
Naval Aircraft Squadrons. During his 20 years of active military service, he
also served tours as a Drill Instructor (DI), a Recruiter, and Ordnance “A”
school instructor. After Retiring in August 2000, Gunnery Sergeant Wilson
spent two school years teaching Marine Corps JROTC in Springfield, Ohio
